In this episode of Influencers of Metal, Tom and Collin dive into the world of Guitar Hero, the legendary rhythm game that has both humbled and entertained metalheads for nearly two decades. The episode marks the beginning of an ambitious new series where they will analyze each Guitar Hero title to determine which one is the most metal. Their method? Counting the number of metal songs in each installment and ranking them accordingly. 

Kicking off the series, they break down the setlist of the original Guitar Hero (2005). Does this first installment lay the foundation for metal dominance with “Ace of Spades”, “Cowboys From Hell”, “Iron Man” among many others? Or does it fall short of the genre’s true power?
