In this off-the-rails and hilarious episode, Collin and Tom dive headfirst into the wild world of metal bands in pop culture. From Napalm Death’s infamous one-second performance on a morning show to Metallica turning into dragons in a kids cartoon, no stone—or power chord—is left unturned.

They cover Anthrax shredding on Married with Children, Cannibal Corpse’s chaotic cameo in Ace Ventura (fun fact: Jim Carrey originally wanted Napalm Death), and Judas Priest getting hilariously mislabeled as death metal in The Simpsons—a goof the band later corrected themselves in classic self-aware fashion.

The guys also revisit Marilyn Manson’s strangely wholesome appearances on Family Guy and Clone High, crack up over Pantera showing up in SpongeBob, and reflect on the time black metal legends Satyricon performed at a Norwegian fashion show.

And of course, they couldn’t resist mentioning Poppy’s latest TV appearance, wondering if Spiritbox or Body Count might be next to break into the mainstream spotlight.
