They dig through the absolute chaos of ’97’s metal releases: everything from Strapping Young Lad’s City, Rammstein dropping Du Hast on the world, Devin Townsend going full biomech with Ocean Machine, HammerFall restoring the glory of power metal, and nu-metal bubbling like a pot someone forgot on the stove.

Along the way, they debate battle jackets, diss some questionable albums (sorry not sorry, Six Feet Under), admire black metal extremity, and discover just how many iconic records dropped the year tiny baby Tom was learning how to hold his head up. It's chaotic, nostalgic, and full of questionable time-travel science — aka, a normal episode.
