James Lavish shared his perspective on transitioning from the institutional world to focusing on the Bitcoin network. 
He has over 25 years of institutional investing and risk management experience.
 James recently was the Chief Operating Officer of Alternative Investments at LKCM, a $26 billion asset management firm in Forth Worth Texas. 
Prior to joining LKCM, Mr. Lavish was the co-founder and a managing partner of Ranger Arbitrage, Head Arbitrage Trader and Officer of the Compliance Committee for Carlson Capital. 
Throughout this conversation, James highlighted his journey from being drafted in the NHL to becoming an hedge fund manager. 
He talked on the differences between Wall Street and interacting with people in the Bitcoin community.  As well as how he discovered Bitcoin and became an educator in this space.
