Dr. Amirahamadi holds a Ph.D in planning and international developmetn from Cornell University, and is professor of the Edward J.Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
He is the founder and president of the American Iranian Council(AIC), and was a presidential candidate in the 2013 Iranian elections.
He is also a frequent contributor and author of scholarly works published worldwide, as well as a consultant internationally to various foundations and institutions.
