This was Mick McCarthy (Big Mac)'s first tournament and also another nail in the McCarthy/Keane coffin. Here we discuss McCarthy's quest to get his first international win, a 2-2 draw with crowd trouble and a rare Niall Quinn red card and a dodgy referee.  This was a breakout time for Ireland's next crop of young players and a moment when McCarthy finally began to turn the tide.
