If you are a musician, sometimes you need to figure out a tune in your head. Maybe you need to practice but others are trying to sleep. Still others want to bring that extra something into their sets.

IK Multimedia has been out there with the iRig series – utilizing your tablet, smartphone or even computer for practice or for performance. I received a couple of these items and want to show them to you for Todays iPad365.

iRig Keys

A small 3-octave keyboard you can connect to figure out tunes, record tracks or just bang on some keys. With the iGrand Piano for iPad, you can turn your iPad into a concert piano. There are series of other keyboard upgrades, such as iLectric Piano for iPad.

The iRig Keys comes with a 30-pin and Lightning cable adapters. It also has a USB connection so you can use your PC or Mac to create music. The iRig Keys also has a sustain pedal input and options to program iRig Keys for different scenarios.

iRig HD

If you play guitar, then iRig HD will help you figure out your pedal and amp configuration. Using the app Amplitude HD – Gripwire.com you can set up pedal combinations and amp situations to jam from.

From time to time I play acoustic solo acts. I could easily see adding the iRig HD to bring excitement to a song. I can add drums or upgrade for the multi-track option and create backing tracks I play off of.

iKlip

A couple months ago, I talked about iKlip Studio Stand. IK Multimedia came out with a iKlip Studio for iPad mini or other 7 inch tablets.
