In honor of SkeleTales ranking on the podcasting charts in Ireland, this week’s episode is dedicated to telling haunted tales from the Emerald Isle and absolutely butchering the Gaelic language in the process.
Britt delves into a tale of a headless horseman who was either a thief, a jealous lover of the victim of a pre-meditated murder who was tragically decapitated and cursed to ride his horse for eternity. She then takes you to the haunted Ballyboley Forest where druids are said to roam the woods and where the veil to the underworld is thinned.
Alissa manages to tear herself away from the topics of jugs and decapitations long enough to explain the lore of the Banshee and convey a couple of first person encounters with the shrieking spirit. She also tells the tale of the White Lady of Kinsale a spooky ghost who likes to eat toast.
