Smurf & Smurfette are endurance sport athletes based in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. It is Ironman Australia race week in Port Macquarie, which means for the Smurf & Smurfette Podcast, a week full of podcast episodes with special guests and lots of great advice from experienced Ironman athletes.

Today we talk to Ironman Australia Legend David Arnold. David is a 28 x Ironman finisher which includes 15 finishes at Ironman Australia and 2 finishes at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

David talks us through the changes he has seen in the over 15 years that he has been visiting Forster and Port Macquarie and gives out tonnes and tonnes of great advice for all Ironman athletes, whether a first timer or experienced.

He talks us through his thoughts of the Ironman Australia course at Port Macquarie and shares many stories from his years in triathlon and Ironman.
