A Very Enjoyable Read
The book is exciting and well written. James takes us through his training as an age-grouper for and racing the Ironman U.S. Championship set in New York City, August, 2012. A good blend of personal and family events mixed in with just the right amount of training details and data. It kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to read about his "race day". It's a fun read as James is good at expressing the mental "second guessing" going on in his mind leading into the race. Race day comes and it gets even better. You are right there with him that day experiencing the polluted waters of the Hudson River and the hills & heat of the bike & run course.
