• February 3rd, 2025 deadline: Louisiana, Vermont, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and parts of Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New York, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington.
• May 1st, 2025 deadline: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and parts of Alaska, New Mexico, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
• Important Note: This extension is for filing only; 2023 tax payments were due last spring.
• Disaster relief is automatic for those with addresses in affected areas.
• Taxpayers with records in disaster areas or assisting with relief activities can also qualify.
• Special Relief: Taxpayers in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank have until September 30th, 2025, for both 2023 and 2024 returns.
