At FreedomFest in Las Vegas, I wanted to hear diverging viewpoints, and I found this in a conversation with an evangelical Christian and an atheist. Eric Metaxas is a host and author of a book called “Is Atheism Dead,” and Michael Shermer is a founding publisher of Skeptic Magazine and author of “Why People Believe Weird Things.” Needless to say, I was able to find two very different viewpoints on the subject of religion.
