Scientists studing astrophysics, cosmology, astonomy uses optical or radio data from #telescopes like #hubbletelescope, #astrosat, #jameswebbspacetelescope to study #neutronstars, #blackhole, #darkmatter, cosmic microwave radiations, expanision of universe, etc. There are nearly 100 billion stars in our milky way galaxy itself and a lot of the planets revolving these stars are in #goldilocks zones. There is a higher probability #extraterrestrial life on these planets. Drake equation tells us how many of these planets can have high congnitive species like human or advance. There are also higher chances of such species developing better technologies like #artificialintelligence, #robotics, #spacetechnology, #quantumtechnology, etc. Our sun is also a fascinating star, smaller and colder as compared to the stars in the milky way galaxy. Sun has 11 years of cycle and there are high #solarwinds and #solarstorms occuring based on these cycles. Magnetic field of earth and jupiter helps us to survive these corona mass ejections. These high energy charge particles have to capabilities to destroy our satellites, power grids and internet. #NASA has sent #parkersolarprobe to study the origin of such ejections. #ISRO will send their #adityamission to investigate the solar activities. #CERN #largehadroncollider in #geneva #switzerland is resposible for a lot of discoveries in particle physics like #higgsboson. #ligo in US has discovered the existence of #gravitationalwaves, theorized by #alberteinstein in 1920s.
