Is College The Best Choice for Your Child?

Listen Later

Once upon a time, in the very land we live in, there was a belief that you could go to college, get a job, get married, have children and live happily ever after. Whether or not it was true, people believed it and pursued this dream for a very long time. Now, with times changing, and the value of the college education system coming under question, it can often be confusing to figure out if a college degree is even worth the investment. Will I get a job in my trained field, or will I bring my bachelor's degree with me to my coffee shop job? Will I ever get out of student loan debt? Will the degree provide me with what I need to secure a high paying job? Will I even enjoy college? These are all questions that young people find themselves asking. Blindly following directions and enrolling into college is becoming a very risky thing, and a lot of college prospects are taking matters into their own hands and starting businesses instead. This is leaving a lot of youth, and their parents wondering: Is college really the best choice for me? Cheryl understands what's going on, and having done both herself, college and business, she weighs in this episode and explains her point of view on the topic!
