Is God a communist?

We tend to think that all rewards are totally equal in God’s Kingdom, but the Bible teaches the opposite. There are tiers of reward, authority, and glory in Christ’s Kingdom.

There are a variety of passages that explain this to us, whether it’s 2 Peter 1:11, Paul’s remarks about the Bema in 1 Corinthians 3, Jesus’ parable of the master and the faithful servants, or the different eternal crowns listed in the New Testament.

The idea that there are degrees of glory in the Kingdom shouldn’t make us upset. After all, God has supplied everything we need to be lavishly, richly rewarded as His people. The only thing that can stop us is US if we decide not to run our race to win the race, which will limit what God is able to lavish on us when we step into His Kingdom.
