Is Gunslinging a Martial Art?

I’ve had this discussion before with my friends. If sports like Kendo (where a weapon is used), Judo (where the aim is more or less throw your opponent to the ground), and Archery are martial arts, how come Gunslinging is counted amount them? It takes years of training to perfect the techniques necessary to participate and has a long history (this is not necessary for a martial art, but is still notable imo). Any thoughts?
