Join Pastor Kent Sparks as he answers the heavily debated question: Is what we are seeing take place in Israel indicative of the end times? He answers that question and walks his listeners through the biblical history of Israel and how we ended up where we are today: an ongoing war in the Middle East.
Point of clarification from Pastor Kent on the 70 weeks of Daniel math: The time starts with Artaxerxes's decree to rebuild Jerusalem, c. 445 B.C. (Neh 2:1-8 (ref:Neh.2.1-8)), to the Messiah's kingdom. This includes: (1) seven weeks or forty-nine years, probably to Nehemiah's the rebuilding of the "street and wall," in Jerusalem. (2) sixty-two weeks or 434 MORE years for a total of 483 years to the coming of Messiah. This was fulfilled in the triumphal entry on 9 Nisan, A.D. 30 (not 27 AD this year is the year that His ministry began) Then The Messiah will be "cut off," a common reference to death, which occurs on Friday of that week. The rest of the math is correct.
