Is It Bad For You? Being Inactive/Sedentary

Listen Later

This we explore the topic of people who don't do much physical activity - so inactive/sedentary. There are numerous reasons (as we go into) why this might be the case and some of the stats are staggering - For example

Piercy 2018
- Only 26% of men, 19% of women, and 20% of adolescents in the U.S. meet current Physical Activity Guidelines

We also dive into some research on the benefits of meeting the guidelines of activity and also what these guidelines are. Now, it's all good and well us stating the obvious "move more" but what can we do to make this easier? In the second part of the podcast, we dive into action points on how to make your health and fitness journey easier, more enjoyable and most importantly consistent.

By the end, you should be equipped with the knowledge and the confidence to tackle these really achievable guidelines.
