Its hard parenting already... but to be the only consistent parent is worse. If a child is missing a parent they will have to deal with levels of emotional neglect no matter what... but if a child is told promises that are not fulfilled by a parent who is barely around... that creates trust issues, insecurities and other self doubt. As a mother of two girls not having a consistent father in their lives is upsetting & disappointing.
