Instagram TV, or IGTV as it’s sometimes called, is already changing how audiences interact with content. What many of us are used to is recording our videos horizontally so our videos are wider than they’re taller. Now, with IGTV, the framing cuts at a portrait, not a landscape, meaning vertical videos are more effective for IGTV instead of our horizontal videos we’re used to filming.
If you’re going to create videos that you might repurpose for IGTV, focus on how your framing can be used for vertical or horizontal videos. Even if you record in horizontal or landscape orientation, wider than taller, you can still use that video by cropping the sides in IGTV without losing the quality of your video.
Give it a try and let me know how it goes. Have fun and remember, your Message matters!
