Today, when asked “the cause” of cancer, scientists will often say, “genetic mutations!” Given the fact that genetic mutations do cause cancer, the 2nd most important question then becomes, “what causes genetic mutations?”

As a general answer, poisons cause them; cigarettes, alcohol, radiation among the many known carcinogens according to scientists. Although widely published, however, few scientists know that certain fungi make poisonous and carcinogenic byproducts called “mycotoxins” that also cause genetic mutations. And the fungus that makes some of these mycotoxins, tend to hang out in our food supply and in products like cotton (be extremely careful of Tampons-check for mold before using).
