The story of Abraham's sacrifice is indeed one that draws out human sympathy and truly shows great faith in God.The story of Abraham and Isaac is a miniature of the plan of salvation.The story is no longer about Abraham or Isaac,it is now about God the father and his Son.Abraham never said a word of doubt or question God when he was asked to offer his only child,but Moses shows us through psychological characterization,that it was not easy for Abraham,indeed this was a greater test than that which Adam and Eve where subjected to.The most solemn part of this thought is what if God also went through the same thing when he gave his son.Maybe Genesis 3:16 sounds like it was a free for all and an easy one.But what if God also straggled to give his son,never said a negative word but through his actions ,we see the struggle,why did it take over 4000 years for him to give his son.Jesus on the cross,cried ELI ELI why hast though forsaken me.And now looking at the great effort heaven has made to save us,how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation. #EVANGELIVING #journeythroughthebible
