Is It Preposterous Not To Ponder?

Listen Later

Proverbs 5:21

For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and he ponders all his paths.

Yes — it’s the day after Election Day. And by now, the ballots have been cast, the decisions made, the voices counted.

And if “We The People” as a collective from both sides said anything last night — it’s this:

People ain’t playing. You can only run on slick talk, spin cycles, and slogans for so long. Eventually, folks look at:

🍇 Fruit, not flyers. 🏛️ Results, not rhetoric. 👀 Reality, not rehearsed talking points.

👣 And Proverbs 5:21 ties right in:

For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and he ponders all his paths. God isn’t impressed by speeches– He’s pondering our path!

Not our PR. Not our press conferences. Not our political commercials. Our path.

Now that’s a trip because we just talked about that yesterday — Ponder the path of your feet.

But here’s the twist for today: If you won’t ponder your path… guess Who will? God.

Wow. What a thought. You can skip your self-reflection, but Heaven still runs it back.

And when heaven looks, they’re not grading the campaign message on style, or delivery, or technique…

God doesn’t grade:

❌ Not the slogan — the actual steps.❌ Not the promise — the actual patterns. You can fool headlines, you can fool talking points, you can even fool your own pride…

But as Abraham Lincoln famously said,

“You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time.”

And Lincoln didn’t even finish the sentence:

You can’t fool God.

He weighs. He examines. He measures outcomes — not optics.

⚠️ Image Cracks. Integrity Speaks.

Which means the idea of living unexamined lives and hoping image will save us is not just naïve — it’s… well… preposterous.

Public image might trend. But private integrity testifies in time.

And sometimes an election isn’t a poll — it’s a public wake-up call that people are tired of being played, tired of being distracted, tired of bread-crumb promises and heavy-handed policies. Ask Solomon how his policies split the kingdom if you don’t believe me.

You can talk unity — but God looks for justice. You can advertise direction — but God is pondering our path more faithfully than we do, then today is the day to course correct, think right, and walk right.

💥 Remember

When the dust settles and the spin collapses, The Truth will come out. So live accordingly.

Prayer

Lord, please help me live out an examined life–daily.

Today’s Challenge

Before reacting to news or headlines today, pause and ask:

“What is actually being done — not just said?” Then ask God the same question about yourself.

Walk on purpose. Walk with Heaven watching — because it always is.
