CEO Chronicles

Is It Time for a Business Coach?

Listen Later

At what point in time during your career as a small business owner do you need a mentor or a coach? There is, as we talk about today on CEO Chronicles, a difference between a mentor and a coach, and although there really is no set right time or right reason to get a business coach, we talk about the reasons why we feel like we might need one, especially because of growing pains and feeling overwhelmed.

Again, there is no correct reason for feeling like you need a business coach, but it is still a good idea to identify what your reason is. Are you feeling lost and/or overwhelmed? Do you need time management strategies? Do you need to be better at holding yourself accountable? These are all common and valid reasons to be a point at which you feel like you could use a business coach, and you don't always have to fork over thousands of dollars either! There are programs available out there such as SCORE that will give you their time freely, and free does not always mean lesser quality!

We also discuss what makes a good coach and what you should look out for when looking for one, as well as the limits that we sometimes impose upon ourselves and how coaches can sometimes help us unlock those doors. Until next time, we really appreciate you tuning in again and encourage you to reach out to us via the email address provided in the show notes if you have anything that you would like to share with us!
