Is it Time to Get Over It? The Case for Reparations

Last week, British Prime Minister David Cameron became the first British leader to visit Jamaica in 14 years. However, his historic trip was overshadowed by the Jamaican government’s call for him to make reparations and apologize for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade. In response, Cameron instead urged Caribbean countries to “move on.”
We had a debate on whether descendants of African slaves should be given reparations from the countries that participated in the slave trade with special guest Larry Elder, author of “Dear Father, Dear Son–Two Lives, Eight Hours” and radio talk show host on both CRN and KRLA AM 870 in Los Angeles.
