Stroud and Houston's passing attack was limited to just 154 passing yards. Dameon Pierce and Houston's group of running backs closed the game with just 32 rushing yards on 14 attempts.

David Long Jr. made his Miami debut and landed a big hit in his limited action. 2022 third-round draft pick Channing Tindall had himself another big game after 10 tackles against the Atlanta Falcons last week. He carried his momentum to the tune of a run stop and zero receptions on two targets.

The Dolphins made Fangio the league's highest-paid defensive coordinator — a strong showing from the team's group of running backs is a positive sign of things to come throughout the 2023 season.
