"Tapp" into the Truth

Is NATO Still a Real Alliance?

Listen Later

Bonus: Here is the audio to the 3/19/2026 Rumble Live Stream.
As what is left of the Iranian regime disrupts free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz — the chokepoint carrying roughly one-fifth of the world's oil — President Donald Trump asked NATO allies to help escort commercial vessels and protect global energy flows. Their response? No. Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, and even the UK declined any meaningful participation, insisting the conflict is "not their war." This moment exposes a deeper strategic question: Is NATO still a real alliance—or just a one-way security guarantee in which America protects Europe while Europe refuses to share the burden? Kenneth Abramowitz, author of The Multifront War: Defending America From Political Islam, China, Russia, Pandemics, and Racial Strife, and a Managing General Partner and co-founder of NGN Capital, joins me to discuss why NATO allies are refusing to aid in keeping the global energy chokepoint open, if NATO is becoming strategically unsustainable for the United States, how this may actually help China on the geopolitical stage, and more if time allows.
Later, I was joined by George Sinzer to discuss more topics of the day, and the latest recording of my old songs that I am bringing back to live thanks to a little help from AI including the creation story of the new show theme song.
