As human beings we just cannot wrap our heads around the stone cold callousness of a perpetrator who can wipe out innocent men, women, and children without guilt or remorse. We ask ourselves what could possibly possess someone to commit such a heinous act. Is it insanity or evil-doing? Who knows? What we do know is that a person who could do that cannot possibly possess a shred of empathy.

Prompted by my need to understand how such a thing could happen, and my desire to help you understand, I chose the topic of empathy for this show.
