This comes after years of pursuit by enemies, including King Saul. Pastor Jarrod Stotmeister examines this verse to contrast the flawed reign of Saul with the faithful King—David as God's anointed, and ultimately pointing to Christ, our perfect King who is far better. God delights in His people and delivers them for His glory.
