In this episode, Dr Sree talks about perfectionism, our pursuit of it, and how the fear of inadequacy keeps us from engaging.  Our inner voice and its expressions of dissatisfaction can create a constant state of stress and anxiety. When you are in this constant state of stress, and not acting from a place of peace, it is very difficult to complete any one task to the best of your ability. Your mind is often racing ahead to the upcoming tasks, and not fully present for the task at hand. Not only does this hamper your performance, but also your ability to enjoy what you are doing. This “bad stress” makes you question your ability to complete tasks competently and successfully. Often, this kind of stress leads us to avoid and abandon our goals.
