The Petersfield Society’s Annual meeting on 18 September heard all about vexillology  - the study of flags, with Malcolm Farrow from the Flag Institute.

He says Petersfield’s own flag - chosen by the community in 2009 - is not flown enough and it’s an important shared community symbol, which is what flags are about.

He talks about the importance of symbols and the Flag Institute of which he is Chairman.
