Honestly, it’s not far from the truth! Let’s look at some stats. Listennotes reported a spike in new podcasts emerging. With over 1M people starting their own podcasts in 2020 from only 300K new podcasts in 2019. However, in 2021 the number of new podcasts dropped to 700K and it kept dropping to 200K in 2022. Maybe people during the pandemic were probably bored out of their wits and just started a podcast. After all, it’s easy to start your own show.
