The Geek of the Week segment remembers Wilford Brimley, beloved oatmeal pitchman and character actor who recently passed away at 85. We believe Jay actually took off to re-watch Coccoon in his honor. A whole host of other topics are discussed as they randomly pop into Art's and Robbie's minds, but a real treasure is the list of Hugo award winners, including a list of 1945 Retro Hugo awards.

 

After the break, awards fever continues as we look at this year's Emmy awards. This year science fiction is well-represented in more than just technical achievement categories. With Stranger Things, The Watchmen, and The Mandolorian all receiving best series noms, among others, there may never be a better time to be a sci-fi geek.
