COVID Vaccine Resources
mRNA vaccines — a new era in vaccinology
https://www.nature.com/articles/nrd.2017.243
a 2018 review publication highlighting the potential strength of mRNA based vaccines across a broad array of diseases
Strengths: pre-COVID, so it discusses the tech outside of the potential controversies surrounding current pandemic. Thorough, informative.
Weaknesses: very technical
Albert Mohler’s discussions on the vaccine from The Briefing

https://albertmohler.com/2021/03/03/briefing-3-3-21
Southern Baptist Theological Seminary president discusses the opportunities and challenges of the vaccine campaign. Provides insightful Christian commentary on the moral, historical, and theological approach Christians have taken to vaccines in general (first link). Discusses the moral complications of the J&J vaccine and their use of fetal derived cell lines in the development of their vaccine (second link).
Strengths: approaches the questions and considerations from a historically informed and biblically based worldview
Weaknesses: I like Albert Mohler too much to be objective. Just some solid commentary all the way through
Inside the Lab that Invented the COVID-19 Vaccine
https://youtu.be/-92HQA0GcI8
11 minute video takes you inside the lab that had been troubleshooting the mysteries of the spike protein from SARS and MERS which unlocked the ability to for scientists to develop and test a vaccine in such a short amount of time
Science based medicine blog

https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/lipid-nanoparticles-in-covid-19-vaccines-the-new-mercury-to-antivaxxers/
I’ve followed this blog for a number of years, and it tends to be a helpful resource to dive into the science behind all sorts of health claims without having to do a technical literature search
While the tone is often combative, the reasoning is typically sound and often provides links to previous articles and, more importantly, to the peer reviewed literature to substantiate their claims
