IS WANT AND DESIRE THE SAME THING? ….
Some people see desiring something as a restriction on living and seek to free themselves from desiring in order to obtain a much clearer, if not purer way of living. But what about wanting? Is that the same? If desiring something can be a serious hindrance to being free, is wanting things just as limiting? And if they are the same in this respect, is that bad or just a natural condition of being human? Can there be a balance? There are other questions too. Does it imply that by striving to be free from desire and want mean being anti life by rejecting all that the world has to offer?
