As we mature in our Faith, we should challenge ourselves to follow the instructions & examples of Jesus, not the crowd. When we have defining moments regarding our Giving, we must be willing to exercise the courage to put God first, regardless of what others do or say. Jesus said we should Love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind & all our strength. Secondly, Jesus taught us that we should Love our neighbors as we love ourselves. There are no commandments greater than these two & our lives should reflect God as our highest priority. Our giving is an act of worship that pleases Almighty God!

Four types of giving according to the Bible:

1. Tithes – Genesis 14:19-20

2. Offerings – 1 Corinthians 9:10-11

3. First Fruits – Deuteronomy 14:22-23

4. Alms/Giving – Matthew 23:23
