Is YouTube harder than being a TV News Producer? In my experience, yes overall. While the roles of YouTube Creator and TV Producer working in a newsroom are very different (and don't get me wrong, both difficult / stressful) - YouTube has definitely been more challenging and I believe has a much higher bar to achieve a sustainable level of success.
