As different as we all are, there is something that we all need: Comfort. What has weighed down your heart lately? Maybe a divorce. Or sickness. Or guilt for a sin. Or the death of a loved one. Or depression or anxiety. Life is hard, isn’t it? So here’s what God commanded his prophet Isaiah: “Comfort, comfort my people” (Isaiah 40:1). No matter what you’re facing, God wants to comfort you today. No matter what breaks your heart, God wants to give you hope today. Every suffering has an end date. Every sin has already been paid for at the cross of Christ. God has plans for you life that you can’t possibly imagine. I hope you can listen to this Advent sermon: “Comfort My People.” God bless you!
