Isaiah 53 as a whole discusses the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Matthew 20:28), particularly the pain he went through before his death, and the role his blood played in atoning for our sins and paving the way for our salvation. It then concludes with a summary of the rewards Christ received for his remarkable work.
