“Certain Hope”: Isaiah 2:1-5   

            Four facts about Certain Hope:

1.            Certain Hope comes from God. 

·        The persecuted church lived in the present, yet focused on the future: 1 Pet 1:13

·        Don’t dwell on the negative present.

·        "The last days," began at Pentecost: Acts 2:17

·        The birth of the church was partial fulfillment: Heb 1:2

2.            Certain Hope is both Inclusive and Exclusive 

·        It is Inclusive: All Nations are welcome: Malachi 1:11

·        The message is Exclusive ; there is only one true God; thus, only one way: John 14:6

·        Teaching that leads to following: Mt. 28:19-20

3.         Certain Hope centers on Justice & Peace

·        Justice results in Peace:  Rev 21:4

·        Justice does away with the three phases of War:

1)      The means 

2)      The practice 

3)      The mentality 

4.            Certain Hope provides Motivation

·        Come, and be the example: Deut 4:5-8

·        This message is for us too: Phil. 2:1-4

      Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and
      assurance about what we do not see. Heb 11:1
