Isaiah 1:1-2a
Four Facts about Isaiah’s Vision:
1. The Vision is Objective
· This is God’s Word: Isaiah 55:10-11
· Traditions says that he was sawed in half:
· Heb 11:37
2. The Vision is Huge: Universal in scope
· God has a solution to our dilemma: Isaiah 65:17; Isaiah 66:22-23
· It affects more than humanity; it is about all Creation: Rom. 8:19-22
3. The Vision is Historical
· Jesus taught us to pray daily for “God's kingdom to come; His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven." Mt. 6:10
· There is purpose in everything; it is not random but planed. Isaiah 55:11
4. The Vision is Messiah Focused
· It speaks of the Messiah’s birth: Isaiah 7:14
· It describes His characteristics: Isaiah 9:6
· Suffering Servant: Isaiah 53:11
· Worthy of Imitation: Phil 2:5-11
