“Facts Checking”

Isaiah 1:21-31

            

            Three Facts loom large:

 

1.         Moral Bankruptcy -- vs. 21-23, 29

  ·         They had a clear choice. Isaiah 1:19

       

       1)  Idolatry:  They have become prostitutes:  Jer 6:3-9

 

·          Pagan worship: Isaiah 65:3

·         Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Mt. 6:21

 

      2)  Injustice: Justice is the expression of Righteousness.

      

      3)  Contamination:  Avoid contamination:  Rom 12:2

 

·         The high standard of leadership: 1 Pet. 5:2

 

 

2.            Impending Judgment – vs. 24, 25a, 28-31

 

·        Judgment is coming: 1 Pet 4:17

·        Grace is not cheap: James 2:26

 

 

 

3.            Promised Redemption – vs. 25b-27

 

·        God keeps his promise to David: 2 Sam 7:16

·        It cost God his son: John 3:16

        What must we do to be saved: Acts 2:37-39
