Isandlwana Lecture by Mbuso Khoza

Listen Later

We kick off the week with Mbuso Khoza who is up in Johannesburg with Ijadu Le Afrika to give another lecture and musical of the Battle of Isandlwana at the State Theatre this weekend. This is one of the most important events that shaped the history of our country and the continent of Africa. The battle of Isandlwana is recorded as one of the biggest wars between the British and Zulu empires in the 1800s. It was fought on the 22nd January 1879, where the Zulu military wiped out a substantial British force, including the 1st Battalion. Mr Khoza now joins us in studio to talk to us about the lecture and why it’s so important for us to keep it high up on our history books..

Guest(Studio): Mbuso Khoza – South African-born, ward-winning vocalist, songwriter, musician, historian & heritage enthusiast

Guest: Ijadu Le Africa cast members will be singing in the background between the interview as he narrates the story (We will confirm the names in the morning)
