In this powerful Islamic reminder, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains one of the greatest spiritual dangers facing every believer: the gradual hardening of the heart through persistent sin.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that when a person commits a sin, a black spot appears upon the heart. If they sincerely repent, stop the sin and seek Allah’s forgiveness, the heart is cleansed. But if they continue committing sins without repentance, the black spots increase until they begin to cover and harden the heart.

At first, a sin may bring guilt, regret and even tears. But when the same wrongdoing is repeated, it can gradually become easier. What once disturbed the heart can become a habit, and what became a habit can eventually become part of a person’s identity. The most frightening stage is when someone no longer feels remorse and begins to see their sins as normal, harmless or even appealing.

There is a time in the night when the world goes quiet.

The distractions fade. The noise disappears. And most people are asleep.

But there are believers that rise.

In this powerful Islamic reminder, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan speaks about the night prayer, qiyam al-layl, tahajjud, and the secret strength Allah places in the hearts of those who leave their beds for Him.

The night prayer is not just another act of worship.

In the last part of the night, when du’a is made and forgiveness is sought, the servant turns back to Allah with a heart that is tired of the dunya and hungry for the Akhirah. The Prophet ﷺ described this time as a time when Allah calls His servants to ask from Him, seek His forgiveness, and make du’a.

So rise, even if it is only for two rak’ahs.

Make wudu. Stand before Allah. Ask. Repent. Remember your Rabb while others sleep.

May Allah make us from the people of qiyam al-layl, grant us khushu in salah, sincerity in worship, firmness upon the Sunnah, and hearts that find peace in remembering Him.

When you lose motivation, it can feel like something inside you has gone quiet.

Your energy drops. Your clarity fades. You know what you should do, but you no longer feel the strength to move. In those moments, a person can begin to feel stuck, discouraged, and distant from the version of themselves they thought they would become.

But Allah does not abandon the believer in that state.

There are moments in the Seerah where the unseen becomes impossible to ignore.

When Allah supports His servants, no army can overpower them.

And when Shaytan promises strength, he only promises betrayal.
