According to the fatwa, Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever dies on Friday or the night of Friday, Allah protects him from the trials of the grave.” This is recorded in Tirmidhi (1074).
Islamic scholars state that this hadeeth clearly shows that a Muslim who dies on Friday or its night is kept safe from the punishment of the grave. They also mention that if a person dies in Ramadan, on Aashura, or on the Day of Arafah, then it is hoped that Allah will also protect him from the trials of the grave, InshaAllah.
The reason given is that just as special places have virtue, special times also have virtue. Scholars such as Imam Ruyani and Imam Mubarakpuri highlight that noble days and blessed times have great value, and good is expected for one who dies in them.
