According to the fatwa, Hazrat Ka’b رضي الله عنه said that when the Prophet ﷺ returned from a journey, he would go to the mosque first, pray two rak’ahs, and then sit to meet the people. Based on this hadith, Islamic scholars state that praying two rak’ahs in the mosque after coming back from travel is proven in Shariah and is Sunnah. Encouraging others to do this is correct and supported by Islamic ruling.
