In this episode, we talked with Women’s Volleyball head coach, Anders Nelson ;
A rising star in the coaching profession and integral part of the first SEC volleyball program to win a national championship, Anders Nelson (pronounced ahn-ders) will usher in a new era of Vanderbilt volleyball as the reintroduced program’s first head coach, the university announced.
Nelson, 35, spent the past 11 seasons at Kentucky, first as an assistant coach and as associate head coach for the past seven seasons. The Wildcats reached the NCAA tournament in each of his 11 seasons in Lexington and progressed to at least the second round on all but one occasion. In his seven seasons as associate head coach, Kentucky compiled a 117-11 record in official SEC matches and won at least a share of six conference titles, including a perfect 18-0 record in 2018.

In this episode, we talked with Women’s Golf head coach, Tayo Bailey-Duvall ;
Bailey-Duvall enters her fourth season at the helm of the Blue Raider Women’s Tennis program for the 2021 season. Bailey-Duvall became the 11th head coach in Middle Tennessee women's tennis history following her six-year tenure at Butler.
During her time as the leader of the Bulldogs, Bailey-Duvall's team won a Big East Tournament match in four of her five seasons. Additionally, the tennis program earned NCAA Public Recognition Awards every year of Bailey-Duvall's time as head coach, which honors teams for ranking in the top 10% of their sport based on their multiyear Academic Progress Rates.

In this episode, we talked with Women’s Golf head coach, Shannon O'Brien;
Welcome to the podcast featuring Shannon O'Brien, the Women's Golf Head Coach at Lipscomb University. In this podcast, we will be discussing all things related to women's golf, from training and practice techniques to the mental aspects of the game.
Coach O’Brien begins her eleventh year at Lipscomb and her second season as an assistant coach of the women's golf program. She spent nine years on staff with the Lipscomb women’s soccer team with her husband, Kevin O’Brien, the head women’s soccer coach. Shannon was an assistant coach and primarily was responsible for developing the goalkeepers and helping with the program operations. In her time with women’s soccer, they won 6 ASUN championships and as a staff, they received the United Soccer Coaches Southeast Regional Staff of the Year award in 2018, after finishing in the top 32 schools competing in the NCAA tournament. In her tenure, three goalkeepers have earned ASUN standout achievements, including 4 ASUN Goalkeeper of the Year awards and an ASUN Tournament MVP award. Additionally, two of the goalkeepers went on to play professionally.

In this episode, we talked with Women's Volleyball Head Coach, Matt Kredich;
Matt Kredich is a highly accomplished swimming coach who has led multiple teams to success at the highest levels of competition. He is currently the head coach of the women's swimming and diving program at the University of Tennessee, where he has established a culture of excellence and has guided the team to numerous national championships and individual titles.
Before coming to Tennessee, Kredich was the head coach of the men's and women's swimming and diving programs at the University of Louisville, where he led the teams to six conference championships and helped numerous athletes achieve success on the national and international stage. Kredich has also been involved with USA Swimming, serving as an assistant coach for the U.S. National Team at the 2015 World Championships.
Kredich is known for his innovative coaching strategies and his ability to develop swimmers to their full potential. He emphasizes a holistic approach to training, incorporating elements such as nutrition, strength training, and mental preparation into his coaching philosophy. Under his leadership, his teams have achieved success both in the pool and in the classroom, with many athletes earning academic honors and achieving personal bests in their performances.
Kredich is a highly respected coach in the swimming community and has been recognized with numerous coaching awards, including the 2015 USA Swimming Developmental Coach of the Year award. He continues to inspire and mentor his swimmers to achieve their goals and reach their full potential in and out of the pool.

In this episode, we talked with Women's Volleyball Head Coach, Donika Sutton;
Donika Sutton is currently the head coach for the Tennessee State University women's volleyball team. She was named to the position in January 2020, becoming the 11th head coach in program history.
Prior to joining TSU, Sutton served as the head coach at Eastern Kentucky University for two seasons. During her time there, she led the Colonels to their first Ohio Valley Conference Tournament appearance in five years.
Coach Sutton led the Tigers to an Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Championship for the season 22-23 … first time since 2007, which gave Tennessee State an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Sutton has also worked as an assistant coach at several other universities, including the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of Alabama, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
As a player, Sutton was a standout setter at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she earned All-Conference USA honors and was named the team's MVP in 2007 and 2008. She went on to play professionally overseas in Spain and Puerto Rico.
Sutton holds a bachelor's degree in communication studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a master's degree in sports administration from the University of Alabama.

In this episode, we talked with Women's Lacrosse Head Coach - Melinda McCord;
Coach McCord is the current head coach of the women's lacrosse team at the University of South Florida (USF), a Division I program in Tampa, Florida. She has been in this position since August 2021.
Prior to joining USF, McCord served as an assistant coach at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she helped lead the Tar Heels to two national championships in 2016 and 2019. She has also coached at other top Division I programs, including Duke University and the University of Virginia.
McCord played college lacrosse at Duke University, where she was a standout midfielder and two-time team captain. She earned All-ACC honors twice and was named a Second-Team All-American in 2009.
As head coach at USF, McCord is responsible for leading the Bulls' women's lacrosse program and overseeing all aspects of the team, including recruiting, game strategy, and player development.

In this episode, we talked with Women's Soccer Head Coach - Patrick Baker;
Patrick Baker is a highly respected women's soccer head coach with over 20 years of experience at the collegiate level. He is currently the head coach of the women's soccer program at Florida State University (FSU).
Baker has a proven track record of success as a coach, with a career record of 282-125-46 as of 2021. He has led his teams to numerous conference championships, NCAA tournament appearances, and national rankings. In 2013, he was named the National Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (now United Soccer Coaches).
In addition to his coaching success, Baker is also recognized for his commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. He has been honored with numerous awards for his work with student-athletes, including the NCAA's prestigious Silver Anniversary Award.
Overall, Patrick Baker is a highly respected women's soccer head coach with a proven track record of success and a commitment to developing student-athletes. His leadership has helped to establish Florida State University as one of the top women's soccer programs in the country.

In this episode, we talked with Men's Golf Head Coach Mark Leon;
Leon comes to FAU after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Florida for the past four seasons. At UF, Leon helped lead the Gators to three consecutive NCAA Regional appearances (the 2020 NCAA Championship events were canceled due to COVID-19), and a berth in the 2021 NCAA Championship event. With Leon on staff, he helped coach numerous Gators to All-Southeastern Conference, all-region and All-America honors.
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Leon spent four years on the Canadian Tour with two Top 10 finishes. He took fourth place at the 2008 Players Cup and was tied for sixth at the event in 2009.

In this episode, we talked with Women's Ice Hockey Head Coach Brian Durocher;
Durocher has won 327 games in 17 seasons as the Terriers' bench boss. The winner of the 2020 Ace Bailey Foundation Good Guy Award, Durocher made history on Jan. 17, 2020, when he became the 15th Division I women's hockey head coach to win 300 games with a 4-1 victory over Holy Cross.
A 45-year coaching veteran, Durocher has been the head women's coach at BU since the program was elevated to varsity status beginning with the 2005-06 season. No coach has won more Hockey East women's tournament titles than Durocher as he has led BU to five, including four straight from 2012-15. The first two Hockey East teams to reach the NCAA women's championship game were Durocher's 2010-11 and 2012-13 squads.
