Israel and the Biennale Architettura

Although the Venice Art Biennale has been running since 1895, the first Architecture Biennale was only inaugurated in 1980. It took eleven more years for the National Pavilions to be invited to participate, and it was then that the Israeli architecture exhibitions started to take place. In accordance with The Laboratory of the Future, on view between 20.5-26.11.2023, tune in for a brief introduction to Israel’s participation in the Venice Architecture Biennale.

Nathalie Andrijasevic is an assistant curator of Modern Art and 16th-19th century European Art at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. She obtained her Masters in Art History and Visual Culture with Curatorial Studies from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva. She is a lecturer at TAMA and for the Italian Cultural Institute in Israel. Recent exhibitions include Alberto Giacometti: Beginning, Again; My Name is Maryan; The Building: 50 Years and Hey!
