UK singer-songwriter Israel Portnoy lost his guitar collection, lyric books, poetry, notes and all of his personal belongings in a village fire two years ago. The only guitar to survive was the one he took with him when he left his house that morning. That guitar helped him recover, and is now the center piece of his latest project, Through The Fire, Featuring Guilda. He joins us on Americana Music Profiles to talk about that story and his new CD.
