The Future of Work Needs a Liberal Arts Degree

This week, I talk about why a liberal arts education—yes, even a BFA in musical theatre—might be the best preparation for the future of work. As AI handles more of the simple and even some complicated tasks, it’s the complex, human challenges that remain. Problem solving, creativity, communication, improvisation—these are the skills that matter. I share a framework I’ve used to explain the impact of AI on work, reflect on what my daughters taught me about career resilience, and why employers need to start hiring for the skills machines can’t replicate.
